Information Glasscade handles

Glasscade does not currently operate advertising trackers or a first-party visitor analytics service. The site stores your light or dark theme preference in your browser. Hosting and security providers may process standard request data such as IP address, device information, requested URL, timestamp, and diagnostic logs to deliver and protect the service.

Email subscriptions

Subscription forms send your email address directly to Substack. Substack processes subscription data under its privacy policy and collection notice. Glasscade publication administrators can access subscriber details and subscription status made available by Substack. Glasscade uses that information to deliver and manage research updates, respond to subscriber requests, protect the publication, and understand aggregate audience activity. Glasscade does not receive your payment-card information through these forms.

External services

Glasscade is hosted by Vercel and may load or proxy media supplied by Substack and other identified research sources. Following an external link sends you to a service governed by its own privacy terms.

Retention and security

Operational logs are retained according to the hosting provider's configuration and are used for security, reliability, debugging, and abuse prevention. Subscriber data remains in Substack according to the subscription status, publication settings, and Substack's retention practices; Glasscade retains any separately exported subscriber records only as long as needed for the purposes above or applicable legal obligations. Glasscade does not sell personal information. Reasonable safeguards are used, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

• You can remove the theme preference through your browser's site-data controls.
• You can unsubscribe from research emails using the link in any Substack message.
• You can avoid submitting an email address and still use the public site.
